How to implement offers to drive the sales you want

When you are a product-based business there are times of the year when it is expected for your store or website to have sales (for example January and July Sales). This is to clear stocks and offer customers great deals.  But all to often brands are still left with slow-selling lines and overstocks that just won't sell.

That just won't sell

The way to be successful is through implementation. For example, having a buy one get one free (BOGOF) offer just won't work.  You have to really think a little differently and set key qualifying rules that both the buyer and seller will like in order to sell-thru the difficult lines.

Before your sale starts you need to look at your stock and identify your;

- Best Sellers
- Slow Selling Lines
- Overstocks

Then:
- Look at the margins on each product

- Analyse which offers performed best for you in previous sales for both sales volume and profit.

- Work out which offers will work best for you, tweak them and see if you can improve them.

Don't forget:
- Set up an email sequence for your sale period
- Plan your social media
- After the sale analyse which offers performed best for you in both sales volume and profit.
